A Celebration of Life visitation for John Einrem, 62, of Springfield, will be held at Peters Funeral Chapel in Springfield from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. Inurnment will be at the Norwegian Cemetery, rural Avon. John Carl Einrem was born at Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, on November 8, 1963, to Charles and Jean Einrem. He died May 6, 2026, at the Sister James Nursing Home in Yankton. John was 62 years old. John attended school at Springfield Elementary and High School. His class was the last graduating class from the high school in 1982. John worked at CR Industries in Springfield and later at Norm’s Bar in Springfield. He served in the National Guard for six years and was very proud of being a member of the unit and serving his country. John loved to fish and bowl, and had a very special dog, Molly. John and Clark Erickson started the annual family and friends fishing tournament, which continues to be held each June. He enjoyed talking to people and keeping up on the lives of his siblings and nieces and nephews. Thankful for sharing his life are his sister, Joleen (Rick Stark) of Springfield; brothers: Tim (Sandy) Einrem of Springfield and Mike (Lisa) Einrem of Avon; nieces and nephews: Robbi (Dillon) Schlimme, Jed (Heather Surat) Einrem, Marshall (Meagan) Einrem, Maggie (Corey) Aas, Casey (Jen) Einrem, Rorri and Talee and Crue Edwards, Weston Schlimme, Maddie Einrem, Jasmin Einrem, Gracie Einrem, Cooper Aas, Sydney Mueller and Caden Irish. John was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
