Wake services for Amelia Zephier, 27, of Sioux Falls, were held Wednesday, December 31 at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Wagner. Funeral services were January 1 at the church. A Celebration of Amelia’s Life will be held at a later date with inurnment in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Amelia Zephier was born on May 16, 1998 in Yankton to Sara Rolston and Mackel Franklin.

Amelia passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2025 in Sioux Falls. Amelia attended Wagner school where she grew up, spreading her laugh, beauty, and joy to the people around her! Amelia loved listening to music, wearing make-up, as well as her mom Sara and her brother Davian.

Amelia loved her life and her children very much. Her beautiful bright and bold soul will forever be remembered. Amelia was also known for cooking fry bread. Her smile lit up everyone who saw her smile, and a laugh that was so sweet.

Amelia will be remembered fondly by her mother Sara and one brother Davian Zephier. As well as her children: Andre LaPointe, Emma Olson, Sophia Zephier, and Jorney Olson.

Amelia was preceded in death by her father Mackel Franklin, Jayolen Olson, Edna Weddell, Alzaden Holiday.
