Visitation for Marcleen Wynia, 91, of Springfield will be Tuesday, September 9 from 1-2 p.m. at Peters Funeral Chapel in Springfield. Burial will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery, rural Springfield. Marcleen Joann (Einrem) Wynia was born June 20, 1934 in Bon Homme County to Carl and Grace (Dykstra) Einrem. She died Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society in Springfield. Marcleen married Gerben Jake Wynia on February 18, 1952. Together they farmed and milked cows until they retired. They raised eight children: Gary, Dennis, Kenneth, Russell, Donna, Gerald, Debra and Sharon. Family meant everything to Marcleen. She always had a story to tell about one of her family members and smile to go along with it. She was always there when needed. Thankful for having shared her life are six children: Kenneth (Sheila) of Springfield, Russell of Springfield, Donna of Springfield, Gerald (Tammy) of Avon, Debbie (Curt) Neugebauer of Dimock, and MARCLEEN WYNIA Sharon McBrayer of Springfield; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law: Carol Wynia and Jenean Wynia of Springfield; sister Mary Lou (Ray) Livingston of Yankton; and numerous other relatives. Marcleen was preceded in death by her husband Gerben, sons Gary and Dennis; son-in-law Dennis McBrayer; grandson Eli Porter; parents; parents-inlaw Nick and Clara Wynia; sister Joyce (Wayne) Krisl; brother Charles (Jean) Einrem; brother-in-law Don (Betty) Wynia; and sister-inlaw Lillian (Walt) Einrem.
