At Terry’s request there will be no service. He donated his body to science for Alzheimer’s research. A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to Sally Greger at 1503 W Golden Ore Pass, Apache Junction, AZ 85120.

Terry Greger, 76, of Apache Junction, AZ, passed away at his home on August 3, in Apache Junction, surrounded by family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Terry was born to Lester and Blanche (McElroy) Greger in Sioux City, IA on December 18, 1948. He was the youngest of seven children.

In 1951 Terry moved to Wagner with his family and attended school there. Terry attended school until the 8th grade. That is when he decided the life of a truck driver is what he longed for. He drove locally for several years before starting his career as an over the road driver with MCT. He then went on to drive for Thompson Bros Inc., East West Express before buying his own truck and working independently for 18 years for a total of over 50 years. He met his wife Sally (Fitzgerald) in 1978. They were married for 47 years.

Thankful for having shared his life are his wife Sally of Apache Junction, AZ; three daughters: Paige Brandt-Fitzwater (Russell Jr.) of Apache Junction, AZ, Shonette Gibson of Apache Junction, AZ, and Teresa (Jeffrey) Becker of Fort Myers, FL; two grandchildren: Noah (Amie) Brandt of Larchwood, IA and Josie Engel of Apache Junction, AZ; one great granddaughter, Serratelli Brandt of Larchwood, IA; two sisters-in-law, Lynette Greger and Shirley Greger, both of Wagner; and many nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Don, Ron, Sam, Jack “Honeyboy”, and John; two sisters: Shirley Harrington and Dorothy Florey; and several nieces and nephews.
