MAKING FESTIVAL IN THE PARK YOUR LABOR DAY WEEKEND DESTINATION

The Labor Day weekend is quickly approaching and plans are being made on where and when to attend all of the different things available at the Wagner Labor Day celebration in Wagner. Although the celebration is full of activities, a new destination has been created.

WAGNER AREA GROWTH IS SOUTH DAKOTA FUND AWARD RECIPIENT

PIERRE –The South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) presented an $11,200 South Dakota Fund grant to Wagner Area Growth. Funds will provide partial support for Top 20 Training in Wagner which will be free to all Wagner, Marty and Lake Andes community residents.

MOMS IN PRAYER INTERNATIONAL

With the beginning of school, Moms in Prayer will be starting up again. This is a Christ centered prayer ministry made up of Moms and other interested ladies desiring to pray for the students and the school. The organization was started over 30 years ago by Fern Nichols.

Envision this: You pick up your cell phone, which displays “Taxpayer Assistance Center” and hear “Hello; this is the IRS.” What do you do? This caller deserves a laugh and a click! Even in our sacred, rural South Dakota, scammers are out to defraud you.

President Jerry Weber called the Wagner Rotary Club to order on Wednesday, August 8th. Guests present were Amanda Bechen’s daughter, Alaina, and Roger Wiltz had brought his wife Betsy for the noon meeting.
