HEADED TO STATE CROSS COUNTRY

GOOD LUCK RUNNERS AT STATE The Andes Central/Dakota Christian Thunder Girls Cross Country Team qualified for the State Cross Country Meet last Thursday in Freeman with Isabella Brower leading the way as the Region Champion. The Team’s score of 40 was good for third place edging Menno by one point.

IN SD, IT'S NATIVE AMERICANS' DAY

If you look at your calendar, I’ll bet on Monday, Oct. 8, it says “Columbus Day.” Though the designation may serve as a good reminder for those who don’t have school that day or whose offices are closed, it’s not quite accurate for those of us in South Dakota. Here, it’s Native Americans’ Day.
