LOCAL MODERN WOODMEN MEMBERS HONOR HOMETOWN HEROES

Wagner Beautification Committee of Wagner, was honored October 10, 2018 for countless hours of service to the community. The committee was honored for its flower planting at the City Parks, Airport, Library, baseball field, Main Street businesses, the four-way stop and Wagner Lake through Modern Woodmen of America's Hometown Heroes Program. In recognition of their efforts, members of Modern Woodmen's Wagner chapter presented the committee with a certificate and awarded a $100 grant to give to the charitable organization of their choice.

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, chapters provide opportunities to connect through social activities and volunteer projects.

"Improving the quality of life for our members, their families and their communities is Modern Wood-men's mission, "says Marcella Strand, local Modern Woodmen activities coordinator. "The Hometown Heroes Program helps us acknowledge and thank volunteers across the country for doing just that."

As a tax-exempt fraternal benefit society, Modern Woodman sells life insurance, annuity and investment products not to benefit stockholders but to improve the quality of life of its stakeholders - members, their families and their communities. This is accomplished through social, charitable and volunteer activities. Annually, Modern Woodmen and its members provide more than $23 million and nearly 1 million volunteer hours for community projects nationwide.
