Avonhadeightarchersthatattended the2023StateNASPTournamentatthe Black Hills State University in Spearfish. The tournament is sponsored by the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks. The archers competed against 18 other schools within the state. Categories included were: Bullseye and 3D Animal Targets.

Avon School District4-1 will hold a School Board Election April 11th at the AvonCommunityFireHall. Ifthepollscannotbeopened because of bad weather, the election may be postponed one week. The election polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

As the 2023 legislative session comes to a close, I want to take a moment to look back at what the legislature and I were able to accomplish working together for the people of South Dakota. We advanced the American Dream. We provided opportunities for families to grow even stronger.

Avon High School Prom was held Saturday, March 25th. This years theme for Prom was 'Under the Stars'.

The Gregory Athletics Club hosted the 30th Annual East - West Shoot-Out on Monday, March 20, 2023. The event features area high school seniors and gives them the chance to have a night of fun on the court playing together with friends, who are sometimes rivals during the regular season.
