Just before Memorial Day each year, the Wagner American Legion Auxiliary sponsors a Poppy Poster Contest for grades 2 to 12 and a Poppy Coloring Contest for first grade and kindergarten. The posters and coloring pages are displayed for Memorial Day in most businesses in Wagner.

President Jamie Soukup was back at his seat as Wagner Rotary President on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. He welcomed everyone to the meeting and there were no visitors for the day. Song leader Rachel Woods led us in “trying” to sing “Roll, Rotary.

Community members and residents from the Parkview Villa Apartments enjoyed some great conversation and a potluck supper. This special event was organized by the ROCS Senior Meal Program who are attempting to bring community seniors together on a regular basis.

MITCHELL, S.D. — Emergency medical personnel from across South Dakota gathered in Mitchell to participate in a 24-hour EMT refresher course hosted by Mitchell Fire/EMS Local 4166.

The Wagner Rotary Club had a new experience on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The membership met at 307 4th Street, Wagner, South Dakota. That is the location of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. There has been a big transformation to this location.

J-K through 4th Grade Lakeview Colony Students Welcome Spring with Writing, Art and Adventure. March was a lively month for the J-K through 4th grade students at Lakeview Colony as they prepared for the arrival of spring.

Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on March 19 at the Post Home with 17 members present.The meeting was called to order by President Alyssa Mathis. Chaplain Margie Stone read the opening prayer.
