Mandy Koupal was to be inducted into the South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame on March 29th.
Wagner Youth had 23 wrestlers wrestle in Districts and all 23 wrestlers qualified for regions. Wagner had eight district champions including Karstyn Lhotak, Jagger Tyler, Nolan Dvorak, Bradyn Lhotak, Lance Soukup, Dawson Lensing, Colton Frei and Jace Johnson.
20 Years Ago – 2004
Dominic and Gretchen Kotab announced the birth of their son Gabriel Dominic.
Logan James was born to Kevin and Caren Huxford.
Twelve Dakota Wesleyan University Students were selected by their classmates as candidates for Scotchman and Miss Wesleyan. Included was Heather Hall or Wagner/ Lake Andes.
Wagner gymnasts placed third at the state tournament. Samantha Dvorak was named to the All- Tournament team.
The new Visitor Contact Center enroute to North Point at Pickstown is nearing completion. 30 Years Ago – 1994

Senior basketball player Justin Reinbold was named to the LMVC and SESD All-Conference teams.
Mark Kafka and Sherri Frye announced their engagement.
The Red Raider Volleyball Team placed 7th in the state.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Rick Zolnowsky on March 15th.
Pam Weber won the state championship in the balance beam at the gymnastics meet in Rapid City.
A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kuhlman.
60 Years Ago – 1964
The Cozy Theatre built in 1909-10 by F.S. Strobein was demolished. The building was originally used as a skating rink and then silent movies were shown there. Proprietors included Ray Metzger, J.J. Schuster and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Scobell.
First place winners in the county spelling contest were 4th grade, Connie Thompson; 5th grade, Diane Bruner; 6th grade, Debra Bastemeyer; 7th grade, Mary Jane Kirwan; 8th grade, Cynthia Jespersen.
High temperature on March 12th was 60 degrees.
Kay Evers and George Stumpf exchanged vows on March 13th.
