10 Years Ago - 2010

Dustin Court returned early from Afghanistan to surprise his daughters at the Wagner Community School Veteran’s Day Program.

Mike and Sarah Seiner are the proud parents of a baby girl, Sophia Ann.

The old bell that called worshipers to church at the old Methodist Church since 1919 was placed atop a new bell tower on the lawn east of the new Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held for Arthur Patrick Breen, who was editor and publisher of the Lake Andes Wave for the past 14 years.

Mrs. Mary Grim was honored at a going away party.

Army PFC John Carr was a member of Special Troops U.S. Army Europe in Germany.

Dr. James E. Hollingworth, who had been in practice in Avon for more than half a century, passed away.

Wagner voters approved a $35,000 bond issue to construct main sewer lines in a large portion of south Wagner.

Mrs. Dwaine Leonard, nee Betty Duncan, was honored at a post nuptial shower.
