Julie Jussel graduated com laude from Northern State College, Aberdeen at the winter commencement ceremonies.

Pvt. Robert Wiechmann completed basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.
Gary Alan Peters enlisted in the U.S. Navy. The Dean Heida family moved to Mitchell and the Ward Hoffman family moved into the house vacated by the Heidas.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Alton. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Holzbauer. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kranig.
