2015

The South Dakota Army National Guard Detachment 1, 155th Engineer Company held a Community Recognition Ceremony at the Wagner High School Gym.

Wagner School held an open house to give students an opportunity to meet their new teachers before classes began.

Many were in attendance and participation for the 2015 Charles Mix County 4-H Achievement Days as results were announced.

20 YEARS AGO

2005

Joann and Joe Stedronsky were Wagner’s 2005 Parade Marshals for Labor Day.

Alycia Krcil of Wagner was awarded the Yellow and Blue Scholarship for the 2005-2006 school year at South Dakota State University. J.D. Cotton returned home to Wagner to do his internship. J.D. joined Dr. Jay Fitzgerald and Dr. Jessica Wolf at the Wagner Chiropractic Clinic.

30 YEARS AGO

1995

Dale Meyer was chosen to be the 1995 Labor Day Parade Marshall.

Sheila Pelton and Brian Rezac announced their engagement. Senior Officer candidate Howard T. Dressler was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the SD National Guard.

A daughter was born to Barb and Aaron Doty.

1980

Debbie Kokesh and Mike Fredrich exchanged vows.

Kenneth Dvorak accepted the position of Service Representative with Pirner Farm Service.

Marsha Bechen and Robert Nelson exchanged vows.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Williams.

Judith Masur and James Schwinghame announced their engagement.

Evelyn Reub graduated from southern State College with a degree in elementary education.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Soukup, Mr. and Mrs. John Thaler, and to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kostel.

Ella Hoover and Ted Goehring exchanged vows.

Shirley Mashing and Ben Besset announced their engagement.

Pvt. Jack Strayer was stationed at Camp Carson, CO.

Ed Stedronsky purchased the Bill Kola property near the school and moved his family there.

Specials at Buche’s: Bacon 1lb. for 13 cents, Kellogg’s cereal packages for 19 cents, fig cookies 2lbs. for 21 cents.
