The Wagner City council gave approval for the construction of a Skateboard Park with a grant for $40,000 at the request of the Boys and Girls Club of the Yankton Sioux.

Former Wagner resident, Mrs. Rose (Baxa) Koch and husband Rudy, sold a 550-acre tract of land in Washington for one million dollars.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Beeson. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kocer.

Ray Mazourek received word he passed the state pharmacy board examination.

Irene Mazur returned home from the World’s Fair where she participated in the gymnastics drills.

Grand Rooster Day was held in Wagner and Wagner Produce houses were paying 4 cents a pound for old roosters.
