The girls’ basketball team had a winning week, defeating Hanson 61-50, Bon Homme 64-42, and Corsica-Stickney 71-53.
Wrestlers placing at the Sioux Falls Lincoln 18-team tournament were Andrew Soukup with 7th place; Trevor Lensing, champion at 182 pounds; Jacob Kvigne with a 6th place finish and Truman Ashes ending the tourney with 3rd.
The WHS gymnastics team placed second at the Stanley County V Meet with Emily Duffek receiving first place on the bars. Emily Duffek, Hannah Fleming and Chelsey Hisek had all-around scores that qualified them to complete in all events at the state tournament. Rachel Dion qualified on vault and Krista Dvorak qualified on floor.
