10 Years Ago – 2014 The City of Wagner went pink during the Paint the Town Pink event. A large pink ribbon was painted in the middle of Main Street in honor of all those that were currently battling, had battled or had lost their battle with breast cancer.
Local farmers aided Theola Petrik in harvest after the loss of her husband, Marvin.
The second annual Race for A Reason was a success with approximately 50 individuals participating in the race.
Wagner celebrated its homecoming week. Trevor Lensing and Jamie Anderson were crowned Homecoming King and Queen.
20 Years Ago – 2004 Tammy Thornton assumed the position as Deputy Finance Officer for the City of Wagner.
Johnny Swatek opened Studio 333 in the Main Event featuring tattoos, airbrushing and commissioned artwork.
The children and grandchildren of Tom and Linda Soukup requested a card shower in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary.

30 Years Ago – 1994 Vicki Broz joined Anderson Law Office in Wagner.
The Red Raider football team lost to Chamberlain 8-6.
Vince Two Eagles and his band, “OtoKahle” toured Italy from July 30th to August 11th and performed eight concerts.

45 Years Ago – 1979 Florence Martin was appointed Postmaster at the Wagner Post Office.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Crowley celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
Wagner football team won 35-30 over Tripp but lost their homecoming game to Avon 37-41.
60 Years Ago – 1964 Roy Crisman Jr. was looking forward to his new 172 Cessna Plane that was to arrive soon.
Charles Hyde leased the Fischer Body Shop located at North Main Street. He was formerly employed by Fechner Motors in Armour.
Kathryn Bartunek and William Miller announced their engagement.
Dedication of the Ravinia Church was held.

70 Years Ago – 1954 Axel Peterson celebrated his 25th year as a butcher in Wagner.
Noel Schroeder was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Olson; Mr. and Mrs. John Thaler; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Schroeder; and Mr. and Mrs. Geo Ailts.
92 Years Ago – 1932 A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Trantina.
Specials at Hank’s Groceries were Jonathan Apples 4 pounds for 19 cents; Fancy Sliced Bacon 1 pound for 19 cents; Granulated Sugar 10 pounds for 49 cents; two bunches of celery and one head of lettuce all for 19 cents.
