Betty Westendorf celebrated 20 years of selling fireworks in Lake Andes. Kaylene Stirling and Patrick Pesicka both of Lake Andes made the Spring Semester 2009 President's List. Randy R. Vesely announced his retirement after serving 30 years with Andes Bank. Gus Stop III/Manager Robin Smith celebrated 5th year anniversary with the store and the store's own 5th anniversary of being open.

20 Years Ago - 1999

Gerald and Tammy Wynia announced the birth of their daughter, Bethany Grace. Duane and Laurie Myears announced the birth of their son, Dawson August. The Lake Andes Volunteer Fire Department received a wall sized map of Charles Mix County.

R. Tomic received a certificate for superior service from Milwaukee Railroad. He was section foreman and for the past 19 years was without a personal injury.
