The Bon Homme/Scotland/ Avon wrestling season has begun, and there have already been five meets, which mostly take place on the weekends. From Avon, there are three junior high wrestlers- Bailey Kemnitz, Weston Bierema, and Thayne Tjeersdma. Avon also has six highschool wrestlers- Tyler Tjeersdma, Cody Sassaman, Ashley Tolsma, Randall Powers, Kash Peterson, and Hope Kemnitz. Our wrestlers have been having much success lately. For example, Tyler Tjeersdma just recently received his 100th win in Freeman on December 12. He has been wrestling for 11 years and is now a senior. Tyler’s goal for the rest of the season is to place 5th at state wrestling in Sioux Falls.
