WORK CONTINUES ON COMMUNITY BANK DRIVE UP

By

The Community Bank is excited to have their drive-up project now underway with construction initiated just recently. Weather permitting and with timely installment of the needed service equipment, the drive up will soon be operational for bank customers. The bank has been at its Avon location since 1933, moving here that year from the bank’s original charter location in Kingsburg, which started in 1914.

Until recently, the bank has been land locked in the middle of a city block without access for a drive-up lane. However, a recent purchase of the adjacent lot to the bank building has now enabled this new project. The bank is currently waiting on the arrival of the window for the drive-up. The drive-up window will be located in the area of what was the men’s restroom in the bank. The bank remodeled a custodial closet to make a new men’s restroom.

Creating the new customer drive-up service will benefit business. The bank also views the drive-up to have great value for all should the pandemic restrict direct contact between staff and customers. A drive-up proved to be the best possible bank asset during the initial outbreak of covid.

When the drive-up becomes operational the bank plans to notify customers on service hours and other informational particulars.
