PROVERBS 15:9 "The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord: But he loveth him that followeth after righteousness."(KJV)

ABOMINATION means: 1. hatred and disgust, 2. anything hateful an discusting.

WICKED means: 1. having or resulting from bad moral character; evil depraved. 2. generally bad moral character; 3. naughty; mischievous.

RIGHTEOUSNESS means: wise 1. acting in a just upright manner; virtuous: as a righteous man;2. morally right or justifiable; as a righteous act.

These three definations from Webster's dictionary are correct as used in the worldly way.But these words used in the Bible, bring out the true meaning of the Word of God. For instance, ABOMINATION means SIN, very ugly sin. The Bible expresses some particular sins, as Abomination to God. WICKED depicts those who have refused God's Word, refused God's Plan of Salvation thru the blood of Jesus Christ.

RIGHTEOUSNESS stipulates the actions of those who are saved and serving the Lord.

When studying the Bible we find that one scripture backs up another scripture. Such as PROVERBS 21:21 backs up PROVERBS 15:9

Proverbs 21:21"He that follows after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honor."(KJV) Again PROVERBS 15:9 says the wicked ( or lost souls) are abomination unto the Lord (for refusing to receive Jesus as Savior) But he that loveth him (loves the Lord) and followeth after righteous (listens to and follows the Word of God by applying it to their life).

PROVERBS 21:21 He that followeth after righteousness and mercy ( listens to the Word of God and receives God's mercy finds, life everlasting thru Jesus Christ
