MATTHEW 21:12,13 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers and the seats of them that sold doves. And said unto them, it is written, my house shall be called the House of Prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves."(KJV)

Today we find that many churches have fallen away from true worship and prayer. Many could be more described as entertainment centers.

Many congregations go to these churches because of the programs that they participate in. Many have gym buildings added to their churches, more for them to play than to pray.

I was told some years ago that it would be good for me to go to-such-n-such church because it was there that many deals and contracts were closed in the lobby of that church. That church is what Jesus called a den of thieves

There are many churches that offer more programs--that will make people happy, but they are so busy in these programs-that they are not doing what Jesus said they should do, Worship Him and Him only in their services, spend the time in congregational hymn singing, and when not in church services to not be to busy in programs that they cannot do what is instructed in MATTHEW 28: 19,20 " Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost."(KJV)

When churches get away from what Jesus intended their church to be-they are not following the instructions of Jesus.

Jesus loves the church and died for it, not for nonessential programs.

A true church will stay within the bounds of Prayer, Preaching and Teaching the Word of God.
