In an attempt to break the world record for the most people reading the same book on the same day, 356 Wagner Community School students and staff read With Lots of Love by Jenny Torres Sanchez.

This 18th annual reading event was held October 26. The book was available online for a limited time, so students were able to read together on the SmartBoard or on any computer. Some classes paired up with “book buddies.”

Last year over 2.1 million people around the world participated. Numbers for 2023 are still being tallied by Jumpstart, the sponsor of the reading challenge. A world reading record was set in 2013 with 2,462,860 reading the same book on the same day, according to Jumpstart.
