Wagner Community School (WCS) welcomed a new 4th grade teacher, Courtney Sattler, for the 2023-2024 school year. Courtney was born and raised in the Sioux Falls/Harrisburg area. She comes to WCS from the Harrisburg School District at Liberty Elementary where she was a 3rd grade personalized learning teacher. Students may be surprised to know that Courtney taught for the last eight years at the same school that she graduated high school from. Courtney’s boyfriend is Brett Doty and he is the reason she moved to the area. She enjoys camping, going to the lake, attending concerts, playing board games and card games, cooking and baking, gardening, reading and spending time with friends. Sattler enjoys reading anything written by Colleen Hoover and suspense books. Brett and Courtney have a five-month-old lab named Oakley.

In Courtney’s short time at WCS, she has really enjoyed the school community that there is amongst the staff. Her goal for the school year is to make the year enjoyable for the kids in her classroom.
