WAGNER VS PARKSTON

Wagner and Parkston matched up in an exciting backand- forth game that saw Wagner coming away with a 8-6 victory. Wagner trailed 6-5 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Carter Cournoyer doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

There was plenty of action on the base paths as Wagner collected nine hits and Parkston had ten.

Wagner opened up an early lead in the first inning when Joey Cournoyer was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.

Wagner knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the fourth inning, when Hunter Loeffler tripled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Cournoyer led the Wagner to victory on the mound. Cournoyer lasted three innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out seven and walking zero.

Brayden Jervik took the loss for Parkston. The hurler surrendered three runs on four hits over two innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Teddy Slaba started the game for Wagner. The righthander allowed seven hits and four runs over four innings, striking out three and walking one Caden Donahue started the game for Parkston. Donahue lasted one-third of an inning, allowing zero hits and two runs while striking out one Wagner tallied nine hits. Corbin Carda, Matt Link, and Cournoyer each had multiple hits for Wagner. Cournoyer, Link and Carda each managed two hits to lead Wagner.

Parkston totaled ten hits. Taite Klumb, Luke Bormann, and Jeff Schnabel all managed multiple hits for Parkston. Klumb went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Parkston in hits. Parkston didn't commit a single error in the field. Schnabel had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
