WAGNER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH DEDICATION FOR REMODELING PROJECT
The Wagner United Methodist Church will be having a celebration on Sunday, October 6, at 10:00 a.m. to dedicate our new remodeling project to the Sanctuary.
The beginning of Summer 2018 found our congregation with a committee to assume the responsibility of designing a new look for our church. The present sanctuary had been improved in the area of the altar sometime in the early 2000’s. The chairs were from 1969 when the new facility had been built at its present location. The passage of time had taken its toll on the insulation in the ceiling and the walls. We also needed to have a special area for our sound system and electronics.
The committee of seven people with Pastor Laurie Kidd as an ex officio member went right to work and bids were let by October of 2018. Mike Cihak and his crew were chosen for the remodel and they went to work as soon as they could. The congregation began meeting in the Fellowship Hall and the Remodel Committee kept meeting as needed and made decisions as the work progressed. UMC members were patient as we waited for new chairs to arrive and we are finally ready to celebrate!
Please join us on Sunday, October 6th at 10a.m. for our dedication worship service! The Guest preacher will be our District Superintendent, Roger Spahr. We will share in Holy Communion and there will be special music and so much more. A potluck will follow worship so be sure and bring a dish to share!
Everyone is welcome. Please come and share in our celebration and our joy to be back in the sanctuary with all the updates completed.
