On Thursday, June 6, Wagner’s VFW Post 7319 teeners played host to Tyndall. The 14U squad continued to hit the ball well as they came out on the good side of an 11-8 score. Steven Peters started on the mound for Wagner and went 2.1 innings giving up six earned runs on four hits and five walks. Colton Zephier then came on to finish the shortened game (due to time constraints) and earn the win as he allowed two unearned runs on three hits while walking one and striking out one.
All but one Wagner batter either had a hit, scored a run, or knocked in a run. In total Wagner collected nine hits, all of the singular variety. Edward Ulrich had two hits, two RBIs, and scored two runs. Dominic Doom also had two hits and two RBIs and scored once. Kingston Brunelle had two hits while driving in three and scoring once. Zephier and Ruger Loeffler each had a single, an RBI, and a run scored. Peters would have a hit and score one run as well. Trasin Dilts, Jacob Kotab, Ethan Gabel, and Tyler Ronfeldt all scored one run for Wagner.
Wagner’s 16U team would follow that up with a dominating 8-0 win. Frank Soukup tossed a gem of a game as he would go the distance giving up just one hit and one walk while striking out 13 Tyndall batters.
The boys pounded out 13 hits in this game with Preston McFayden leading the way as he had three hits including a double and triple. Mc-Fayden drove in three runs as well. Ulrich and Doom each collected two hits with Doom knocking in a run and Ulrich scoring two. Soukup, Dilts, Javian Pesicka, Brady Cournoyer, and Malakai Segura all had a hit with Cournoyer driving in two and Segura, one.
