On Friday, June 7, the Wagner VFW Post 7319 14 and 16U teeners traveled to the northwest part of the county to take on Platte-Geddes.
After scoring a combined 44 runs in the first three games of the season, the bats went cold in the fourth game as Wagner would fall by the score of 3-2. We would only muster three hits and two walks. Ed Ulrich, Colton Zephier, and Trasin Dilts each collected a single for Wagner with Zephier driving in one run.
Dominic Doom would go the distance on the mound allowing the three runs, two of which were earned, on two hits while walking four and hitting one.
Unfortunately for Wagner, the 16U bats followed suit with the 14U team as they only garnered one run on two hits as they would fall by a count of 5-1. Colton Zephier and Frank Soukup each singled. Javian Pesicka drove in the lone Wagner run with a sacrifice fly.
