WAGNER RED RAIDER ORAL INTERP RESULTS

By

The Wagner Red Raiders were on the road again this week to compete in the Harrisburg Oral Interp Contest. The contest consisted of 10+ teams from different towns from class B, A, and AA. The teams competed in the following categories: Storytelling, Drama, Poetry, Non-O, Duet, Humorous, and Reader’s Theater.

The contest was held on Monday, October 18. The Wagner Oral Interpers have been working very hard on creating meaningful speeches to present to their audience at this contest.. The kids have had several contests up to this point but none as big as this meet. They worked hard to compete against many of the bigger schools and proved that they could certainly keep up with them.

On Friday, October 22nd, Wagner Oral Interp went to Sioux Falls Washington to compete in our first large-scale invitational. Over 250 students attended the meet and performed in Novice and Varsity categories. After three rounds of performances, individual and team winners were announced. Wagner finished 8th out of 22 teams in the Sweepstakes for overall points awarded, beating out some of the larger schools due to our strong pieces. We were thrilled to take first place in multiple categories, and we are so proud of our performers and the growth they have shown over the course of the season.
