WAGNER PARTICIPATES IN DAKOTA VALLEY RELAYS

By
: Coach Matt Slaba

On Tuesday, April 23, Wagner traveled to Dakota Dunes to participate in the Dakota Valley Relays. There was some stiff competition at this meet. While some personal bests were gained there was not a lot of placing for Wagner’s teams.

Ashlyn Koupal won the high jump with a leap of 5’ 5”, her best of the year. She is currently tied with three other girls (two in class A and one in class AA) for the best jump in the state this year. Ashlyn was the only girl to place for Wagner at this meet.

For the boys Jhett Breen continues to impress in the 300 hurdles as he won that event with a time of

41.26. On a side note, it has recently been brought to light (after only 38 years) that we had a mistake on our school records. It appears Dave Roberts had run a 40.30 time in

1986. My apologies for the mistake.

Other placers for the boys at this meet were: High Jump: Shea Kjeldgaard- 5’
