On September 18th, the Wagner Middle School football team hosted the Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central (WWSC) Middle School football team. Wagner struggled through the first half of the game with a score of 8 to 20. The second half the Raiders battled back to within 6 points, but unfortunately lost 20 to 26.

The Wagner Middle School football team is coached by Jacob Ziegler, Sam Matzke and Evan Finley. Eighth graders on the team include Cruise Koupal, Jacob Kotab, Jaylen Drapeau-Sholes, Steven Peters, Nelson McBride, Payne Petry, Zaiden Ross, Kayo Fischer, Wade Kreeger, Gavin Tjeerdsma, Kahil Segura, Richard Turner, Radek Kotab, Brannon Bruguier, Elijah Marshall, and Bodie Chafin. Seventh grade members of the team are Russell Standing Cloud, Connor Gabel, Colton Zephier, Ryan Gullikson, Ethan Gabel, Jaxton Hill, Wesley Holzbauer, Frank Krcil, Briggs Kuhlman, Draylin Dilts, Hunter Wiechmann, Donald Necklace, Bailer Lhotak, Walter Peters, Lacen Sully, and Robert Frei. Members of the team that are sixth graders include Cooper Kuhlman, Ethan Blaha, Kendall Standing Cloud, Luke Holzbauer, Isaiah Moad, Jackson Woods, Alex Reiter, Cooper Robertson, Isaiah Zephier, Kamarri Drapeau, Robert Knudsen III, Riggin Meyer, Warrick Wade, Creighton Kuemper, Joby Honomichl, Mason Turner and Jeremy Simmons.
