The Raiders finished off their regular season with a heartbreaking loss to Beresford on Monday night. The Watchdogs jumped out to a 19-17 lead after the first period and led Wagner 30-23 at halftime. Wagner fell behind by as many as 12 points in the fourth period before storming back and taking a late 1 point lead after Preston McFayden scored a layup and was fouled, Preston made the free throw to give Wagner its first lead 47-46. Wagner had trouble getting stops on defense late in the game and Beresford pulled out the victory 54-50. Preston McFayden led a balanced scoring attack with 11 points, Brady Cournoyer scored 9, Carter Cournoyer and Joey Cournoyer Jr each scored 7. Parker Petry and Jesse Zephier each had 6 points, Javian Pesicka had 4.

Wagner JV Wins Season Finale

The Wagner JV boys played a great game to end their season in Beresford Monday night. Wagner led 9-4 after the first period and 2218 at half time. The boys exploded for a 21 point third quarter, they led 43-24 heading into the final period. Wagner won the game by a final score of 51-37. Javian Pesicka scored a team high 21 points, Carlos Galindo added 14, Brady Cournoyer added 11, Frank Soukup and Ty Aungie each scored 2 and Dominic Doom added 1 point. The JV team finished the season with 12 wins and 7 losses.

Wagner C Team plays Beresford The Wagner C team finished their season on Monday night in Beresford. The C team led 5-4 after the first period but trailed 23-7 at the half. The boys fought back into the game in the second half but could not close the gap and lost 37-25. Dominic Doom led the team with 13 points, Gannon Shields and Winston Little Moon each scored 4 and AJ Kotab and Avery Medicine Bear each scored 2. The C team finished the season with 2 wins and 8 losses.
