WAGNER LADY RAIDERS CRUSH THE CUBS

The Wagner volleyball team traveled to Chamberlain on Thursday, August 31st. The varsity came out ready to play winning with scores of 25-11, 25-7 and 25-20.

Freshman middle hitter Ravyn Medricky led the attack putting down 8 kills while sophomore Ashlyn Koupal had 6 of her own. Senior hitters Kya Kjledgaard and Shona Kocer added 5 kills in the win. Senior setter Macy Koupal dished out 21 assists in the match. At the service line Kjeldgaard led the way with 13 points/4 aces, Kocer 7 points/5 aces and A. Medricky added 9 points/2 aces. Ashlyn Koupal picked up 9 digs while Kjeldgaard had 5 of her own. Middle blockers Kocer and R. Medricky each earned a stop in the win.

Wagner JV came away with the win with scores of 25-19 and 25-10. Freshmen hitters Brianna Fuchs and Rayvyn Medricky had 4 and 2 kills in the match. Setter Braxton Nedved racked up 7 assists. Nedved led all servers with 9 points/8 aces along with Brylie link adding 9 points/3 aces. Libero Shana Lensing scrapped for 10 digs and Libby Kotab picked up 5 of her own. Nedved, Link and R. Medricky each earned a stuff block in the match.

Wagner C team also came out on top with scores of 25-22 and 25-17. Kylin Insko led all attackers with 4 kills and Ashtyn Bruguier had 2. Setter Jazlyn Lhotak had 3 assists in the match. Behind the service line A. Bruguier earned 9 points/2 aces, Lhotak tallied 5 points/4 aces, Hannah Holzbauer added 5 points/2 aces, and Insko had 4 points/2 aces. Lhotak and Insko each picked up 2 digs in the match.

Wagner will travel to Platte on Tuesday, September 5th to take on the Panthers and they will host Gregory on Thursday, September 7th. Come out and support our student athletes during homecoming week.
