WAGNER HOSPITAL AUXILIARY HOLD MAY MEETING AND HONOR HEALTHCARE WORKERS

The Wagner Hospital Auxiliary held their monthly meeting May 26, 2021 with eight members present and two guests.

Rachel Fernandez from Yankton with the LifeServe Blood Center, gave a brief report on the blood drives and unit donations from Wagner in the last few years. The other guest, a blood recipient, gave a report on his health issues over a 3-year period with surgeries and kidney transplant. He received many blood transfusions over this time period. He thanked people for donating to help save many lives.

President Pearl W. Called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. and members read the auxiliary prayer.

Minutes of the April meeting were read. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Juanita S., motion carried.

Treasurer's report was given. Motion to approve the report was made by Virginia P., motion carried.

The auxiliary served bars and cookies on May 20, 2021 to hospital staff in appreciation for their dedication and service to our community.

Blood drive was held on May 24 at the Wagner Fire Station with 42 registered and 41 donors that will save the lives of 125 people. We appreciate everyone that donated to help boost the local blood supply

Virginia P. will help with the brats feed on June 18 in place of Pearl W.

JoAnn H. donated the quilt for next years raffle.

Raffle tickets were given out to members present to get to all members to sell and also collect their membership dues. All tickets need to be returned by November 1, 2021.

Since we do not meet over the summer months, the next meeting will be September 22 at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be furnished by Jeanette F. There being no further business JoAnn W., made motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Virginia P., motion carried. Refreshments were served by JoAnn W.
