Wagner Hospital Auxiliary
The Wagner Hospital Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on May 22, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. with ten members present.
Yelle T. gave results of the guesses that members made on the “Kentucky Derby” race at the Spring Tea. Nobody had picked any winners, so names were drawn for the prizes. Winners were Joan N. and Jeanette F.
President Pearl W. called the meeting to order and members read the Auxiliary Prayer.
Minutes from the April meeting were read. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Mayme C., seconded by Jeanette D., motion carried.
Treasurer’s report was given with deposits for dues and raffle tickets and checks for change and the CPR mannequins. Motion to approve the treasurer’s report was made by Joan N., seconded by Mayme C., motion carried.
Card report was given by Virginia P. for cards sent out.
Workers for helping with serving brats at the Wagner Super Foods on June 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. will be Marlene S., Joan N., Virginia P and Margie S.
Joan N. gave a report on the blood drive held on May 20, 2019. There were 48 donors with 44 units donated. This will save 132 lives. Joan N. also presented a bill for snacks served to the donors at the blood drive.
Thank you notes were sent to Connie K. for doing the 1st grade tours; Buche Foods for donating cookies for the 1st grade tour; and Yelle T. and other hospital staff for the Spring Tea.
Books of raffle tickets were given out to the members present to get to all Auxiliary members to sell and to also collect the dues for next year.
Officers for 2019-2020 will be President Pearl W., Secretary Jeanette F., and Treasurer Jeanette D. We need someone to fill the Vice President position.
Will plan to have the quilt at Commercial State Bank, Town & Country Beauty Salon and Ft. Randall Telephone Office in September and October. Will also sell raffle tickets at Wagner Super Foods and Buche Foods in the fall.
As we do not have any meetings during the summer months, the next meeting will be on September 25, 2019 at 1:30 p.m.
