Even though the Wagner Red Raiders and the Winner Lady Warriors both had their opportunities, it was the Warriors that eventually prevailed 10-9 on Monday May 8th.

Despite the loss, the Red Raiders did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Lydia Yost led the way with 3 hits, recording a triple, double, and single.

Sydney Cournoyer and Libby Kotab each collected two hits. Cournoyer with a triple and a single and Kotab a double and a single. Braxton Nedved, Angel Zephier, Emma Yost, and Kayden Zephier all contributed a hit a piece.

L. Yost was in the circle for Wagner. The hurler went all 7 innings, walking four and striking out twelve.

After losing the battle in a tight knit game between Winner, the Wagner Red Raiders came back with a shut out thrown by Lydia Yost. Wagner allowed zero runs, committed zero errors, and tallied ten hits, besting Bon Homme by a score of 14-0.

The Red Raiders got things started in the first scoring one but notched seven in the second. Wagner’s big bats were led by Brylie Link, L. Yost, Emma Yost, and Braxton Nedved, all driving in runs in the inning.

Wagner also stole ten bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Nedved, L. Yost, and Ravyn Medricky led the way with two.

L. Yost led the way with three hits, two doubles and a single. R. Medricky contributed a triple and a single. Libby Kotab and B. Link added two hits apiece to the mix and E. Yost had a double.

L. Yost took the win for the Red Raiders. The ace allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six.

Wagner will host Avon for a double header on Monday May 15th starting at 4pm.
