WAGNER GIRLS WRESTLING BRINGS HOME MEDALS FROM RIVER CITY RUMBLE

The Wagner girls wrestling team competed Saturday, January 24, at the River City Rumble tournament in Chamberlain, gaining valuable experience and bringing home multiple podium finishes.

Three Wagner wrestlers earned top-three finishes at the tournament. Izzy Myer placed third at 110 pounds, while Aubrey Kazena also claimed third place at 145 pounds. Jaylecia Powers added another third-place finish for the Red Raiders at 155 pounds.

Mary Virginia Ashes narrowly missed the podium with a strong fourth-place finish in the

170-pound weight class.

Also competing for Wagner were Taya Stone at 105 pounds and Emma Turner at 130 pounds, each battling tough competition throughout the day.

The River City Rumble featured wrestlers from across the region and provided the Wagner girls with another opportunity to gain mat time as the season continues.
