The Lady Red Raiders faced the Burke Lady Cougars again in regular season play on Monday, October 24th. It was a battle from the start of the 2 ranked programs. After a hard fought battle, the Lady Red Raiders fell short and lost the five set battle with scores of 25-20, 26-24, 19-25, 20-25, and 10-15 which ends the Red Raiders regular season with a record of 28-3.

Avari Bruguier led the attack racking up 15 kills, Emma Yost put down 13, Kya Kjeldgaard threw down 11, while Shalayne Nagel and Shona Kocer each had 8. Macy Koupal tallied 49 assists in the match. M. Koupal led all servers with 14 points/7 aces, Kya Kjeldgaard added 10 points, and Bruguier had 9 points/2 aces. E. Yost led the defense scrambling after 32 digs, Bruguier picked up 25, Madi Knebel dug up 22, Nagel added 21, and M. Koupal had 14. Up at the net Kocer led all blockers with 9 stops, Nagel added 7, while M. Koupal and Kjeldgaard each added 3.

Wagner JV closed out their season with a win against the Lady Cougars with scores of 25-22 and 25-12. Ashlyn Koupal led all hitters with 5 kills, McKenzie Fuchs and Aubrey Medricky each added 3. Lydia Yost dished out 9 assists and Braxton Nedved added 4 in the match. Behind the service line Nedved racked up 12 points/4 aces and L. Yost added 10 points/2 aces. In the back court A. Koupal scrapped for 11 digs, while Medricky and L. Yost each picked up 6 in the win. A. Koupal and Ravyn Medricky each had 1 block in the match.

Wagner C team lost a close match with scores of 25-21, 20-25, and 12-15. Braxton Nedved led the attack with 4 kills and Cadence Bernie added 1. Setter Hayden Fisher had 5 assists in the match. At the service line Brylie Link served 10 points/2 aces, Fisher earned 7 points/3 aces, and Addison Cuka had 7 points/1 ace. Defensive leaders were Fisher with 10 digs and Libby Kotab with 9 digs. Up at the net R. Medricky put up 4 stops and Nedved added 3.

We had parents night and recognized our athletes and their parents. Our seniors this year are Avari Bruguier, Shalayne Nagel, Emma Yost, and Angelita Zephier. We want to thank them for their leadership and dedication to our program over the years.

The Wagner Lady Red Raiders head into their post season and will play November 1 and will face the winner of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket and Chamberlain that will take place on Monday, October 31.
