WAGNER FALLS SHORT TO PARKSTON

The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Parkston to take on the Trojans in the Annual Dig Pink Match. Both teams battled and pushed the match into 5 sets. Wagner came up short with scores of 23-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-20, and 4-15.

Hannah Holzbauer and Ravyn Medricky led the attack throwing down 15 kills apiece. Brianna Fuchs added 6 while Mateya Bruguier and Braxton Nedved each had 5. Nedved dished out 37 assists on the night. Medricky led at the service line racking up 11 points/1 ace, Libby Kotab added 10 points/3 aces, Brylie Link had 10 points/1 ace and Nedved had 8 points/4 aces. Kotab led the defense picking up 25 digs, Nedved and Holzbauer each added 19 apiece while Hayden Knudsen grabbed 18 and Medricky had 16. Medricky led all blockers earning 3 stops, while Fuchs, Nedved and M. Bruguier all had 2 on the night.

The JV lost a hard-fought battle with scores of 25-27, 25-14, and 12-15. Camry Link led up at the net putting down 5 kills while Mila Hopkins, Adara Hopkins, and Mateya Bruguier all earned 4. M. Hopkins dished out 11 assists and Kylin Inkso had 9. A. Hopkins led behind the service line racking up 7 points/3 aces, Insko tallied 6 points, M. Hopkins and Ashtyn Bruguier each earned 5 points/2 aces. In the backcourt A. Hopkins scrambled for 14 digs, Knudsen picked up 10, Insko grabbed 8, C. Link had 6 and M. Hopkins had 5. M. Bruguier and A. Bruguier each had a block on the night.

The C team lost in 2 sets with scores of 13-25 and 26-28. Ty’shay Medicine Bear led with 4 kills while Raeyon Fool Bull had 3. Emma Turner dished out 12 assists on the night. At the service line Izzy Myer tallied 5 points/1 ace and Turner had 4 points. Emma McNinch led the defense scrambling for 8 digs, Kymani Gullikson picked up 7, while Turner, Medicine Bear and Myer all earned 3.
