Wagner traveled to Burke on Monday, October 27th. The Red Raiders fell in three straight sets with scores of 17-25, 20-25, and 20-25.
Outside hitters Hannah Holzbauer and Ravyn Medricky led all attackers with 9 and 8 kills in the match. Braxton Nedved dished out 18 assists on the night. Holzbauer led all servers earning 8 points/1 ace and Nedved added 7. In the backcourt Holzbauer grabbed 17 digs while Libby Kotab scrambled for 16 and Nedved added 15. Medricky put up 3 stops while Nedved earned 2.
The JV lost in 2 sets with scores of 15-25 and 25-27 making their season record 14-8. Mila Hopkins led the attack with 4 kills, Mateya Bruguier added 3, and Adara Hopkins had 2. Kylin Inkso dished out 4 assists and M. Hopkins had 3. Insko led all servers with 7 points, M. Hopkins 5 points/1 ace, and M. Bruguier had 3 points/1 ace. Hayden Knudsen led the defense picking up 8 digs, A. Hopkins added 7, Camry Link and Insko each had 6 and Katrina Brown Bear had 4. Up at the net M. Bruguier earned 2 stops while Ashtyn Bruguier and C. Link each had 1 apiece.
The C team ends their season with a win in 2 sets with scores of 25-20 and 28-26 making their season record 7-6. Peytyn Wiechmann and Tegan Langdeaux each earned 3 kills, while Ty’Shay Medicine Bear had 2. Emma Turner dished out 8 assists in the win. Behind the service line Turner tallied 7 points/4 aces, Ava Orozco put up 5 points/4 aces, Wiechmann added 5 points/3 aces and Taelyn Knebel had 4 points/3 aces. Turner led the defense scrapping for 8 digs, Emma McNinch added 4, Wiechmann had 3, and Orozco had 2. Medicine Bear had one block in the match.
The JV and C teams wrapped up their seasons, and the coaches want to thank each and every one of the players for their hard work and dedication to the Wagner volleyball program.
