On Monday, July 26 the Wagner Cub Scouts in partnership with the city of Wagner and Kirwan Design and Landscaping planted a tree at Wagner Lake in memory of Cub Scout Leader and friend, Corey Irwin. Both the Cub Scouts and family members were present to assist in planting the tree. The Cub Scouts will be watering the tree daily and watching it grow tall and strong.

Corey was an important part of Scouts serving as a leader for three years. His smile was contagious and the boys wanted to honor him by planting this tree by the Scout House on the north side of Wagner Lake. Prior to Corey's passing, he spent time cleaning and organizing the house for the pack to meet. He taught the boys the love of outdoors and this tree is a way to help the boys keep his memory alive for many years to come. Courtesy Photo
