The #3 Wagner Raiders traveled to Canton on Saturday, October 8th to take on the #4 ranked C-Hawks. The Wagner Lady Raiders came ready to play and earned the win with scores of 27-25, 21-25, 25-22, and 25-13.

Outside hitters Emma Yost and Avari Bruguier led the attack with 14 and 13 kills. Shalayne Nagel and Shona Kocer each added 6 apiece while Kya Kjeldgaard had 5. Setter Macy Koupal moved the ball around to her hitters and racked up 51 assists in the win. Behind the service line Nagel tallied 13 points/2 aces, Kocer earned 9 points/4 aces, and Koupal had 8 points/2 aces. Defensively, E. Yost scrambled for 29 digs, Bruguier picked up 28, Nagel added 21, and Madi Knebel and M. Koupal each added 10 in the match. In the front line Kjeldgaard put up 8 blocks, Nagel added 5 and Kocer had 3.

The undefeated Wagner JV earned another win with scores of 25-19 and 25-18. Aubrey Medricky led all hitters with 7 kills while McKenzie Fuchs, Ashlyn Koupal, and Ravyn Medricky each added 2 apiece. Setter Lydia Yost dished out 10 assists in the match. L. Yost led all servers with 9 points/2 aces, Brylie Link added 6 points/2 aces and Hazel Jensen had 5 points/2 aces. In the back court A. Koupal scrambled for 17 digs, Hazel Jensen added 10 and A. Medricky had 7 in the win. R. Medricky put up 2 solo blocks on the day.

Wagner C team battled and picked up the win with scores of 22-25, 29-27, and 15-13. Middle hitters Brylie Link and R. Medricky led all hitters with 6 kills apiece. Hayden Fischer had 8 assists in the match. Behind the service line Link led with 14 points/ 3 aces, Brooklin Nielsen added 10 points/3 aces, while R. Medricky and Addison Cuka each had 5 points/3 aces. Jensen picked up 10 digs in the match and Cuka had 8. R. Medricky recorded 1 solo block in the win.

Wagner will host Parkston on Tuesday, October 11th for our annual Dig Pink match. We will be selling Crumbl Cookies, serving games for pizzas/boomerangs and welling 50/50 tickets. Lavender Lane will be on site to sell t-shirts. The proceeds raised will go to our local Cancer Foundation. Come out and support a great cause!
