On Thursday, May 16, Wagner’s thin clads traveled to Platte to compete in the “Last Chance” meet as regions are no longer a thing as now the top 24 times, distances, heights, go on to the state meet in each class.

One Wagner girl was crowned champion as Ashlyn Koupal cleared 5’ 4” in the high jump. Other Wagner placers were: Shot Put: Ashlyn Koupal- 34’

7” (3rd) High Jump: Kya Kjeldgaard-

4’ 6” (4th) Long Jump: Cadee Nelson- 14’

200 Dash: Addi Cuka- 28.79 (6th), Roper Lhotak- 29.32 (7th) On the boys side, Jhett Breen, Shea Kjeldgaard, and Javian Pesicka all were 1st place finishers. Jhett ran a 40.38 in the 300 hurdles. Shea cleared a season best 5’ 10” to win the high jump. Javian also reached a season best with a 148’ 3” throw in the javelin. Other placers for Wagner were: Long Jump: Brayden Kreber- 20’
