WAGNER COMMUNITY SCHOOL SENIOR SPOTLIGHTS

By

Stephanie Atencio

One of this week’s WCS senior spotlights features Stephanie Atencio. Stephanie is the daughter of Charisse Redlightning. Stephanie goes by the nickname Steph. During Stephanie’s high school years at Wagner Community School, she has been involved many extracurricular activities including basketball (four years), JAG (four years) and Student Council (four years).

If Stephanie could be anyone in the world, she would be her cousin, Jolene, because Jolene is so strong. She has taught Stephanie how to never give up on her dreams even when things get hard. Jolene went to college which inspires Stephanie to also go to college to become either a counselor or a nurse. Most of all Stephanie loves how Jolene is strong and a hard-working person that never gives up.

Stephanie’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Petrik. After graduation, Stephanie plans to go to college. As her time at WCS comes to an end, Stephanie leaves her mark on WCS with a quote from Nicki Minaj. “You shouldn’t have to dim your light to let another person shine.”

Julia Bruguier

Another one of this week’s senior spotlights features Julia Bruguier. Julia is the daughter of Drew and Jayette Bruguier. During Julia’s high school years at Wagner Community School, she has been involved in several extracurricular activities including JAG (two years) and Student Council (one year).

Julia’s advice to underclassmen is, “Don’t procrastinate and get organized.” Her favorite class is JAG. Julia’s plans for after graduation are undecided. As Julia’s time walking the halls of WCS comes to an end, the quote that she leaves behind comes from Raven Symone. “Don’t spend all of your time trying to be like someone else because you can never be them and they can never be you.”

Enjoy the rest of high school and best of luck in your future endeavors!
