One of this week’s featured WCS seniors is Daniel Soukup. He is the son of Gene and Laura Soukup. Daniel has several nicknames including Danny Dimes and Danielson. During his years at Wagner Community School, Daniel has been active in many extra-curricular activities including band (three years), chorus (one year), FFA (three years), football (four years), journalism (two years), NHS (two years), Student Council (four years) and wrestling (four years).

Daniel’s advice to underclassmen is to enjoy the little moments. His best memories from high school were going to state tournaments with his friends, shop classes, and football games. Daniel’s biggest pet peeve is when a person complains about every little thing. Daniel most admires his dad, Gene. He admires his dad because of Gene’s great work ethic and humility.

Green is Daniel’s favorite color. His favorite teacher is Joan Mulder and favorite class is Culinary II. Chicken alfredo and Mexico Viejo are his favorite food and restaurant. Daniel’s favorite vocal group is Flatland Cavalry and favorite singer is Zach Bryan. Adam Sandler, The Sandlot, and The Office are Daniel’s favorite actor, movie and TV show respectively. When he is not busy with school or extra- curricular activities, Daniel enjoys playing baseball.

After graduation, Daniel plans to attend Mitchell Technical College to major in Electrical Construction and Maintenance.
