One of this week’s featured WCS seniors is Shona Kocer. Shona is the daughter of Fran and Karla Kocer. Shona’s nickname is Shon. During her high school years at WCS, Shona has been a part of many extra-curricular activities including chorus (three years), National Honor Society (two years), the school play (two years), track (four years), student council (four years), volleyball (four years) and activities council (two years).

Shona’s advice for underclassmen would be to attend high school events; get involved in the student crowd and have fun with it. Her best memory from high school would be winning the Sweet 16 volleyball game her sophomore year. Shona’s biggest pet peeve is when you are trying to talk to someone, but they are on their phone. The person that Shona admires most is her grandma because she is the most patient and loving person that Shona has ever met.

Purple is Shona’s favorite color and Culinary was her favorite class. Mrs. Brunsing is her favorite teacher. Eggrolls and Tokyo are her favorite food and restaurant. Morgan Wallen is Shona’s favorite singer. The movie Dumb and Dumber and the TV show Grey’s Anatomy. When Shona is not busy with school or extra-curricular activities, she enjoys reading or hanging out with her friends.

After graduation, Shona plans on going to college at SDSU and will be going into the medical field.
