One of this week’s featured senior spotlight is Kennedy Kourt. Kennedy is the daughter of Trista and Dustin Kourt. Kennedy has several nicknames including Hollywood, Kenny, and KernDog. Kennedy’s advice to underclassmen is to not stress out about what other people think or say about you in high school. In four years’ time, you will be leaving them behind and none of it will matter. Worry about yourself and what you need to do. Give an effort in school as it really does payoff in the end; please always remember to wear deodorant. Kennedy’s best memory from high school is being hypnotized at prom her junior year. She ended telling the audience her solution to make the world a better place was to “take out men”. Kennedy’s pet peeves are when people in front of her are walking slowly and she has somewhere to be or when people call her Kourtney.
Kennedy’s favorite colors are pink and electric blue. Her favorite high school class was anything taught by Mrs. Brunsing who along with Mrs. Fischer are Kennedy’s favorite teachers. Chicken gnocchi soup and shrimp alfredo are her favorite foods and the Olive Garden is her favorite restaurant. Zach Bryan is her favorite singer. Top Gun: Maverick and Mr. and Mrs. Smith are her favorite movies. Kennedy’s favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy. When Kennedy is not busy with school or extra-curricular activities, she enjoys baking.
After graduation, Kennedy plans to get her EMT certification in May. She then plans to attend Augustana University for nursing. Ultimately, Kennedy wants to work as a flight nurse.
