One of this week’s featured WCS Senior spotlights is Monroe (James) Kessler. Monroe is the son of Regan Gregor and Wendell Flying Hawk Jr. Monroe also goes by the nicknames of Jimmy and Hamez/Yamez. During his years at Wagner Community School, Monroe has been a part of several activities including JAG (one year) and the school play (one year).

Monroe’s advice to under-classmen is to not let yourself fall behind, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. His best high school memory is being a part of the WCS school play during his freshmen year. Monroe’s pet peeve are people who are self-important who feel that their thoughts, feelings or beliefs should impose upon other’s lives. The person that Monroe admires the most is Mark Fishbach. Mark is living his dreams out the way he wants to as an amazing, creative short films and choose your own adventure type of content creator.

Monroe’s favorite color is red and his favorite class is Digital Art with his favorite teacher, Tera Koupal. Spaghetti is Monroe’s favorite food. He enjoys the vocal group ABBA and TV show Adventure Time.

After graduation, Monroe plans to attend Southeast Tech to major in Digital Media Production with the hopes of one day making his own cartoons and videogames.
