One of this week’s WCS Senior spotlights highlights McKenzie Fuchs. McKenzie is the daughter of Curtis and Sherri Fuchs. McKenzie has many nicknames ranging from Mc^2, Mac and Cheese, Kenz and Kenzie. During McKenzie’s years at Wagner Community School, she has participated in many extra-curricular activities including volleyball (four years), basketball (two years), newspaper/ yearbook (four years), stats (2 years), chorus (three years) and swimming (four years).

McKenzie’s advice to underclassmen is to really be involved in things like class activities and go to games so that you can make memories. Her best high school memory is when she was playing laser tag for mental health day, and she went to go jump on to the inflatable and missed. McKenzie’s pet peeve is when people walk slow in the hallways and take up a ton of room to where other people cannot go around them.

McKenzie’s favorite color is light purple and her favorite class was Culinary 1. Her favorite teachers have been Amy Tyler, Keely Brunsing and Jenny Zephier. The bacon ranch crispy chicken sandwich from Applebee’s which are her favorite food and restaurant respectively. McKenzie’s favorite singer is Taylor Swift and favorite movie is Fast 5. Her favorite actors are Paul Walker and Vin Diesel; her favorite TV shows are The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. When McKenzie is not busy with school or extra-curricular activities, she enjoys watching TikTok.

After graduation, McKenzie plans to attend college at Augustana University and major in Business Administration.
