Jennifer Barnett is one of this week’s spotlighted WCS Seniors. Jennifer is the daughter of Jerry and Judy Barnett. Jennifer’s nickname is Jeff. During her years at WCS, Jennifer has been involved in many extra-curricular activities including band (three years), cross-country (four years), oral interp (four years), track (one year), school play (four years), journalism (four years), All-State choir (four years), chorus (four years), gymnastics (two years), National Honor Society (two years), and Student Council (one year).
Jennifer’s advice to underclassmen is that you are in control of the outcome of your education. She says, “If you go into high school or anything negatively, your experience will be negative; enter every experience with an open mind”. Jennifer’s biggest pet peeve is when people think they are above everyone else or are disrespectful.
Jennifer’s favorite color is green and her favorite class while in high school is art. Sushi is her favorite food. Her favorite vocal group is Bendigo Fletcher and Fleetwood Mac and favorite singer is Hozier. Little Women is her favorite movie. When Jennifer’s not busy with school or extra-curricular activities, she enjoys playing the piano, art and reading.
After graduation, Jennifer hopes to study film or political science at the University of Chicago or Yale.
