The Wagner Community Memorial Hospital – Avera Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on October 23rd with 11 members present. President Pearl Weber called the meeting to order and members read the Auxiliary Prayer.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Treasurer’s report was given and approved.

Report was given on the appropriate cards sent this last month.

Marlene Stone gave report on the Blood Drive held on August 6. There were 31 donors with 41 units collected that will save up to 123 lives. Milestone donors were one gallon: Kathryn Robertson and Troy Soukup; five gallons: Sandy Seiner; and 12 gallons: David Honomichl. We appreciate all of the donors, as this helps boost the blood supply for all local hospitals. The next Blood Drive will be December 10 at the Wagner Fire Station from 12 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Bryan Slaba, CEO, gave an updated report on the hospital remodeling projects, hospital staffing, and daycare center.

The winner of the quilt raffle was Karen Soulek.

Due to the holidays in November and December, our next meeting will be January 22 at 2 p.m. Pearl Weber will furnish refreshments.

There being no further business, Margie Stone made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mayme Crisman. Motion carried. Refreshments were served by Juanita Stone.
